First I have to say I wish I had never signed an agreement
with MSN! I bought a brand new computer, got a deal on it
through Staples and MSN. Now the MSN software seems to
have ruined my new computer! One of the most frustrating
of the MANY problems that have developed since I bought
the computer is my back button does not function anymore.
When I'm on-line and browsing, I cannot hit the back
button and go to the previous page viewed. What could be
the problem? Also, I have an extended warranty on my
computer, should I take it back to staples? Thanks! Kenna
P.S. I would have given you my MSN e-mail address but it
doesn't work either!

One of the first things you need to become aware of is
that OEM(original equipment manufacturers) and their
distributors( Staples) will likely not give any warranty
at all on Software. They strictly give you warranty on the
hardware. One thing I would suggest is that you open "run"
under the starty button and type in sfc /scannow and be
sure to have your xp disc at hand. Be sure to put the
space after sfc and before the / . This will scan for any
missing or corrupt OS files including the original IE
distributed with XP and then it will replace them. This
may or may not fix your problem. Without more details from
the event viewer in your admin tools found in the control
panel I can only stab in the dark at a solution. Good luck.
