About 2 weeks ago "updates" offered me "Vista SP2", (I'm running Ultimate
SP1 at present) having heard various tales of woe about installing this I
decided to decline the offer 'till I had investigated further.
Now the dratted update doesn't show in those available for my machine!
I am loathe to download the whole shebang since as I understand it, the
version offered to each individual, is tailored to that specific machine and
I want to give it a fighting chance of installing correctly!!

Anyone know how I can coax MS Updates to offer it to me again?
Updates says there are no new updates for my machine (except IE8 which I
don't yet want and 39 language packs..no thanks!) also no hidden updates
which I understand might block SP2 being offered...in spite of the fact that
it has once been offered and nothing has changed in the meantime??

what can I do?
