b-grade monitor?

B-Grade or box damanged, what is meant by box damaged, as in there is a
crack, or it doesnt work?

any info on this would be greatly appreciated

Most of these have some type of defect. This is why they are so cheap. CRT
monitors are generaly expensive to service in relation to the cost of a new
one.

Most of these used monitors have worn CRT's, the dealers try to turn them
around for a few dollars.
 
"B Grade" LCD panels have a much poorer warranty as far as pixel defects go.
"A Grade" is supposed to guarantee no dead/stuck pixels, and then my
wholesaler in Vancouver tried to "get one past me" claiming otherwise.

As for damaged box, that just means that the packing is not is the best
condition. It should not be used to indicate damaged items within the box.

I noticed this in the description:

| The SAMTRON 76E is perfectly compatible with Windows 2000

It's probably just a dated bit of text, but it makes it sound like
Windows XP is not supported. As far as I know, it's just the display
adapter that needs to be supported by the OS (not the monitor,) so my
suspicions are likely irrelevant.

that the vendor does not define what a B-grade monitor is...
is a plenly good reason *not* to take a chance...
especially with a new (known good) monitor only about 10% more in price
