Ay-Yi-Yi!! Can't Get IE 6 Back After Removing IE 7

Once I remove IE 7, the version that is left on my computer is inoperable -
it shows a message that various files are missing. But when I try to download
a fresh version of IE 6 from a disk - it tells me that there is a newer
version of IE on my computer and it will not install IE 6.

How can I get IE 6 Back - some of my very important websites do not support
IE 7 (whine)... :-(
 
Ugh... :-)

I keep having to reinstall IE 7 to get on the web, then uninstall it to try
to get IE 6 working - will report back tomorrow...

not suggesting that PA BEAR is not an expert of course. I am certain he has
the perfect solution to your problem - its just that he may be thinking of
