Any reason why they say:

Latest reference file : 01R261 24.02.2004
Please Note Build 181 is now available! This download is for use with
build 181 and higher only. Support is no longer available for previous
builds and reference files.

I use build 160 and it works fine with it...

Charles,
It may appear that it's working, but may not be doing so with your
older build. You really should upgrade the program.

Well now I did ... :-)
But with the common trend of free-ware becoming share-ware
or time restricted I am a little bit reluctant as to "unnecessary
updates" :->

I hear you totally Charles, as this group knows after the 40tude
Dialog thing. However, AdAware is a little different what with the
fact that 161 isn't a beta, doesn't time out and since it uses a type
of "signature file".

What are you speaking about?
Maybe were you thinking jv16PowerTools and wrote Dialog?
Dialog never timed out, as you know.

I'm not going to bite on that bait.

My version b.160 still going strong and it finds all the problems!

Well actually-not.
I had one run with the newest ref-file and than installed the new 6.181
version. It found one more link (something with the IE, that prevented
to change the preset homepage). Seems they have really some enlarged
search routines. :-))
