Avira Antivir & OE

With all of the discussion and talk of how good Avira Antivir is as an a/v,
I've been trialing it for the past 2 weeks.
So far, I do like Antivir, but I have found one negative. While Antivir is
active, it will take approximately 10 seconds for Outlook Express to load.
About 1/2 second to load when Antivir is deactivated. When using Avast, OE
loads in about 2 seconds. I didn't find any info regarding this at Avira's
website or forum. Has anyone else noticed this?

Since scanning e-mails is a duplication of effort (i.e., it duplicates
the real-time scanner's purpose), just disable e-mail scanning in
AntiVir.
