Ratana,
Where have you read all of the comments from various users that cause you to
be skeptical? I am very familiar with Prophet and often recommend it here as
an alternative to BCM because it provides many feature options that are not
currently available in BCM. I am always keen to examine both pro & con of an
option and the few negatives I have been able to find about Prophet have not
been related to its reliability. The support and service of the developer
seems to be very responsive. Some users don't like the interface layout or
some aspects of the navigation. It is very right button click friendly
though that does not matter much to some users. In stark contrast to BCM,
Prophet really centers around the creation of a very robust and versatile
sales opportunity record which can be very easily customized and tailored to
darn near any enterprise selling stage process. It very easy to learn and
does not interfere at all with your other uses of Outlook therefore it is
more integrated with Exchange. The server edition enables opportunty data
sharing capability. This app also has a very nice built in group email
wizard so you don't have to do the whole Word Mail merge or use a pay service
like bcentral's list builder. Without fully moving your data into it I would
recommend playing around with it for a few weeks to best determine for your
self if it meets your needs. Better yet, call some of the enterprises among
their growing and impressive client list. I have found them to be very
honest about their real world usage experiences and far less biased than I
expected.
Good luck,
-THP
