EZ Video Splitter is not free. TEMPGenc will split the mpeg1 file just
fine. If the AVI is really only 750 KBytes (or 750 MBytes, for that
matter), it won't need splitting.
You can burn a VCD up to 800 MB max on a 700MB CD-R < have overburned
805 MB w/ Nero.
TEMPGenc would be the supreme free converter...as mentioned above.
Now , a 750 MB AVI file is gonna re-render over 800 MB when converted
to VCD. < file size for VCD should be close to 10MB per min of film
time. TEMPGenc will give you an estimate for the disk size and allow
you to cut the movie at a selected frame/time line for two disc.....
VCD has always played on my Stand Alone...same for SVCD.
