avi files

I recently upgraded from win 98SE to XP and now I can't play avi files, they
played fine before, but now I get the sound but just some lines for the
video. I have the newest version of Windows Media Player.

You need Codecs. I suggest the Nimo Codec Pack to get you started. DivX
and Xvid as well.

BTW - noticed the real-looking email address. If you have not already -
update your antivirus, download, install and configure anti-spam
applications and scan your system for adware/spyware/malware and remove it.
You will be receiving more spam soon - some pretending to be Microsoft
patches, some seemingly bounce messages from emails you never sent.
