AVI file size limitation

Is there a size limitation when inserting an AVI file into a PP slide?
 
Michael, thanks for the reply. I was trying to unsuccessfully play a jumbo linked file (14.7GB). I can easily break it into smaller AVI files or other type files. Any suggestions on file formats other than AVI?
 
Smaller files will definitely make things easier. It all depends on what you
want to do. I don't have any preference as far as file types go.
