AVI File Not Working

Caroline

Hello,

I inserted a movie (avi) file into my ppt. I made it sure that the avi
file is on the same directory so that when the ppt is viewed it will
work. For some reason it is not working. Can anyone help and let me
know what step/s I missed to make this work?

I need to finish this presentation today and any help will be much
appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Caroline

What does not working mean? Can you tell us the symptoms?

Thanks for your quick reply Austin.

The video do not work when I view it via PowerPoint Slide Show. I just
see a black square box. Any suggestions to make this run will be much
appreciated.

Try shortening the path length to the presentaion and video. (IE C:\test)

Thanks, Austin. There is improvement when I shortened the path length.
It is not appearing as a black square box anymore. However, the movie
is not playing...instead it is coming out as a static image. Any
thoughts?

Move your mouse over the movie and click on it. Does it play? If it does, the
"play" animation is set to "On Click".

Caroline,

Take a look at our add in PFCMedia. It will automate the process you are
going through and convert the video to something that will play properly in
PowerPoint. You can download a free trail from www.pfcmedia.com
