I currently use Windows XP, NAV and Zone Alarm for firewall. I have read
that AVG is worth a try. I am sort of a newbie and want to know how
difficult AVG is to install, can I use both NAV and AVG at the same time?
Or will AVG wipe-out NAV and/or Zone Alarm. Or should I keep what I have
got? Thanks in advance.

The buck stops at the O/S and everything else is secondary to it.

It is not dificult to install. NAV is difficult to totally uninstall.
Search for the uninstaller on Symantec (Norton) site.

You can not use the active scan with both at the same time as both
applications will be competeing for the same system resources and usually
screw each other up. You can keep one as a backup and then turn off the
active one and do an on demand scan with the other.

No.

Or should I keep what I have got?

As long as you keep these applications up to date and use properly then you
should be fine.
Thanks in advance.

You are welcome.

AVG is (IMO) much less resource-hungry than NAV: works almost as well, and
costs as little as nothing.
AVG will not do anything your firewall currently does. So keep Zone Alarm
whatever you decide.
