Large update - looks like new everything, scanning engine, Definitions,
email scanner. Check for updates took two (2) times to get it all. Enjoy
 
Hi everybody and thanks . I love when AVG does a huge update, It makes me
feel better. Excellent Product. BTW. JJ a little while back you were a
big help
in a FP in AVG forum, you did very well. I liked seeing the different
forums
you went to .
 
Well thank you Ron, but I'm not sure which thing I was helpful with. LOL I
think I have Brain Freeze today. I know I had some sort of AVG vs. ATT
problem, and they helped me out quite abit. Oh well, hope you have a great
day, and weekend coming up. Take care....:-)
 
Ok Ron, I searched the forum and now know what your talking about. That FP
drove me bats for over an hr., so I searched like crazy for an answer, and
when I saw others questioning it, figured I would post what I found to do.

Like I said..Brain Freeze today. LOL When I have a problem I truly
appreciate any help, so if I can help someone else, why not!! :-)
 
While we're on the subject of AVG large updates, whenever I get one I also
get a message "Do you want to cancel scanning?" I don't know what causes
this, but it's not important. I have to press No several times before it
goes away.
 
Yes JJ, when you posted about what AVG had found i started to look to see if
this was a problem or a false positive and everywhere i had looked you had
already been there too - Virus Discussions, AVG, and Defender. Take Care
 
you could try reinstalling the program and when it comes up with the options
click on Repair instead of Install.
You do not have to uninstall the first one- it should fix the problem you
were having.
