I have found AVG to be a really great program but have found that on
some machines the auto update does not logon and even if you run IE and
logon it does not pick up the connection.
Can anyone give me an answer to this??
Kind regards,Richard

IE Security Settings?
firewalls?
Probably the former. Check "Tools;Internet Options;Security."

Two possibilities that may not have been mentioned:

Some malware will change your HOSTS file or install a new HOSTS
file so you cannot connect to update 'any' AV.

Upgrades may require new connections to pass your firewall. Do
you have a 'block all' established at the end of your firewall
rules?

I have the same problem - I download them manually and put them in the
'update' folder.
