Hi @ll,

all of a sudden (since Feb, 29th) I was unable to update
the AVG virus database on my machine.

Today I took a look at C:\Programme\Grisoft\AVG6\avginet.log
and found the following entry in the logfile:

03 March 2004, 11:58:21 - <html><head><title>The Proxomitron Reveals...</title>
<base href="http://Local.ptron/ProxyLogo.jpg"></head>
<body text=#00ff00 bgcolor=#330044 background="Gradient.gif">

Solution: Set Proxomitron to "Bypass" --> update works fine

Good to know - thanks. I had trouble downloading the update too. Not sure
if I set Proxo to bypass or not.

There have been posts in the past about redirection to akamai or similar
for the update. Maybe your Proxomitron is blocking that.
