AVG Under Vista?

Using AVG Internet Security 8 with Vista Ultimate and no problems.

Had ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 7 with XP Pro which really
liked and preferred. Very disappointed it's not compatible with Vista.

Dear gecko,

A word to the wise, I would not run AVG on any system, much less Windows
Vista. Have you ever noticed how AVG slows down your system. It's full of
everything that you don't need. Please use another antivirus program. AVG
has caused irreputable damage to many systems of the friends that I have.
Consider it carefully.

Sincerely, Joy

I run AVG 8 free on a dozen machines and it works fine.
If it caused harm, someone did something very weird with it.

I'm not using anything at the moment. I was using NOD32 it works very
well.

I haven't seen the issue with false positives, and the link checker is
optional.
I don't use it myself.
NOD32 is a great AV if you're willing to fork over the $.
If you don't have any AV, you're taking quite a risk, at least IMHO.

AVG 8 works very well for me under Vista Home Basic. Maybe it's got
compatability issues with Vista Ultimate.
Cheers

Hi

The new free AVG 8 seems to be working ok for me (I'm using Vista Home
Premium) BUT, at the beginning of the installation process I did get a
warning message saying that the Roxio DVD Creator program I had was not
compatible and to go and fetch an updated version (a link was given).
Unfortunately, the link was of no use and I couldn't find a free update so,
in the end, just went ahead and installed the new free AVG 8. Did anyone
else have this prob please?

Cheers
