I downloaded a file from Kazaa and my AVG Anti Virus software reported
that it was infected by three trojan horses (PSW.perfect.A/B/C). It
placed these files in its Virus Vault and I chose to delete them from
here but it said the files were only back ups and the original
infected files still remain. Do I have to remove them using a virus
removal tool? I am new to the world of viruses, could someone give me
some tips on this subject as the free edition of my AVG software
doesnt provide much help.

Thanks

Virus killers remove viruses. They may not (depending on the product)
detect trojans and spyware.

To be honest, if you are using Kazaa then good luck... apart from the
P2P networks being used to pirate commercial software, they are a
fantastically successful breeding ground for viruses, trojans and
spyware.
