AVG Startup - 60 seconds

After doing some checking I've discovered the reason my startup time is so
slow these days is mainly due to AVG Free V7 - it's adding a full minute to
the startup time.

Has anyone else ecperienced this? Or can anyone recommend another free AV?

How about uninstalling it, then reinstalling it first?

well, its three minutes less then Norton adds..............

It might be another service which is trying to start, which is causing the
delay, try disabling your network card and reboot, see if it speeds up....
