AVG rescue disk

AVG6 free version, Win98SE.

I can't create a rescue disk.
When i try it asks for a 2nd disk and i then get the message:-
AVG rescue disk was not created!

I've got the latest download from Grisoft.
I've used several disks ,all of which format correctly in
Windows.
I've tried on two computers all without success.

Has anyone successfully created this disk, if so
how did you do it?

You need to format it as 1.7MB as the file is now too big. May I
suggest F-Prot instead as a DOS based floppy AV program?

How can i format a 1.44MB floppy as 1.7MB?

Use a program like www.winimage.com but be warned - not all floppy
drives (especially old or fussy ones) can read disks formatted that
way.

I gave up on using floppy disks even for booting to DOS to run AV
scans and started using a bootable CD (see my sig for details). But
of course, not all machines will boot from CDs.

It was a program fault.
With the latest program version 6.0.516 i have successfully
created a rescue set.
1 boot disk, 2 rescue disks.
