AVG Problem

I use AVG's free version. For months, every time I've done a virus
check, it has identified 4 viruses and removed 3 of them, even if I've
done one test immediately after another. I even just uninstalled and
reinstalled the software and it did the same thing. A friend to whom
I send email tells me she gets virus warnings on the messages I send
her. My computer is acting inefficiently enough to make me strongly
suspect I have a virus. Is there a way to get AVG to work better?

Time for a second opinion? Try the online scans listed here:

Do the messages have attachments? Just in case, she isn't referencing
AVG's commercial advertisement you may have turned on:

"Outgoing mail is certified virus free ..."

Try another a-v program while you are working on this problem. See the
link to Avast! on the above page.
