avg on will not scan messenger 8 files

Hi,
Avg on will not scan messenger 8 files, it used to but now cannot get it to
worrk.

The line im using iin file transfer is.
"C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG Free\avgw.exe" /SE %1

Can any one help me please?

I'm still hoping for a reply, can any one help me please as its jmportant files are scanned.

Is it some thing to do with the firewall? as its been allowed in there.
