I installed this anti-virus software and after a reboot the active scanning
is turned off and when I try to turn it on again the screen to select to
make it active is grayed out. I then have to reinstall and choose repair and
then it works for a while then quits again. The last time I uninstalled it
rebooted and reinstalled rebooted and it worked but haven't rebooted since
then I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and a better
work around?

Thanks, Rich

mmmmmm I thought Trend PC Cillin was the only AV that had been configured
for use with RC1 as when I was installing RC1 it told me to remove my AV from
pc first I was Using Bit Defender then.

There are several RC1 compatible antivirus products available - I'm
using Avast. I tried AVG and it worked, albeit a bit buggy. As time
goes by I'm sure AVG will get better.

On occasion, I get an error that says something along the lines of "can't
load AVG kernel" at boot. A reboot usual clears it up, but it doesn't
inspire confidence in this build of AVG (not with Vista, anyway).

The only problem I've had with AVG is when I installed RC1 as an upgrade
from Pre-RC1. Reinstalled AVG and no problems with it since.
