AVG Free and Windows

Grippa

I have just hd a large trojan attach where AVG spotted and removed 27 trojan
instances. After removing them the machine then blue screened. on reboot AVG
now fails to run as does skype. I now cannot access AVG, cannot uninstall it
or re-install it. I cant even get into it to get my icence key so I can log a
fault with Grisoft ??

Arrghh, anyone any ideas ?

Your license key is also on the email they sent you when you purchased it.
Surely you printed it out and put it away in a safe place?

Try one of these Virus Removal Tools to assure you aren't still
infected. Then try a reinstall.

there is a freeware that
i highly recommend called
siw.

it will reveal all your license
keys.

in regards to avg.

you may need to log into safemode
and uninstall it "or" sometimes
attempting to just install it
again overcomes the dysfunction.

i'm not a fan of avg, but many
are.

Yep, thanks Gerry. MIssed that ;-)
His free key won't help, because he's not entitled to direct support from
Grisoft. He'd have to go to the AVG free forums.

They do respond in the Forums to questions but their response wasn't
very helpful the one time I asked.

I am interested to see whether the OP has the anti-virus programme
without any anti-spyware protection!
