AVG Free 7 could not remove a virus

Jack Purvis

This is the first time, for me, that AVG found a virus but could not
remove it. It found 2 instances of a virus embedded in a Java file.
One in the original zipped file and one in the unzipped, installed.
It showed me the path and I removed them myself.

Anyone else had this?

Same here. Simply, AVG 7 is screwed up.

No one program is going to get them all. That's why you should have
multiple configs/programs when possible. To think Avast or any other
program is going to solve all your problems is incorrect and dangerous.

Who did say or think that?

Yes, and they just seem to be sitting there. Can't heal it, can't even
delete the file! This I just don't get.

Could you give a little more information on these viruses you've found?

Sure. I'll be doing a scan later today. I'll post the results later.
Thanks!

== you might try getting rid of it in safe mode , sometimes programs
running in the background are hard to quarantine =========
