Hello,
As of last scan my AVG anti-virus (free edition) is reporting that the
Zip32.dll file located in the program folder of the UltraVNC program is
Torjan Horse Backdoor.Generic2.YJY. My other PC has Norton which does
not report this file as a virus. Can anyone confirm that this is a
false positive?

Thanks

Please submit a sample of "Zip32.dll" to Virus Total --
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html
The submission will then be tested against many different AV vendor's scanners.
That will give you an idea what it is and who recognizes it. In addition, unless told
otherwise, Virus Total will provide the sample to all participating vendors.

You can also submit a suspect, one at a time, via the following email URL...
mailto:[email protected]?subject=SCAN

When you get the report, please post back the exact results.

If it is NOT detected by others then the porobability of being a False Positive declaration
is high.

Then you should attach the "Zip32.dll" file to AVG via the following email URL;
mailto:[email protected]?False%20Positive

Thanks for the link. None of the scanners flagged it as a virus.
Strange because one of them was an AVG scan. Probably not the free
version though.

On Virus Total that's just a command line scanner engine, not a fully installed GUI so the
version number is insignificant. What is more important is comparing you signature date to
the one on Virus Total. Either it is older or newer than what you have on your PC.
