Up until now, I have been deleting old AVG updates, just keeping the most
recent 2 plus the *.ctf file. I have noticed now though that the average
size of these files is around 58kb - previously it was over 1MB.

Is it still OK to just keep the most recent of these smaller updates?

TIA

Good question. From what i understand the old method of updating
downloaded all the database plus new update detections. The new method
just downloads the updated detections not the whole database.Maybe
someone who has pro email support can answer as i dont believe , grisoft

I've wondered about this too but I think it's best to hold on to your
most recent larger .bin file along with all the small ones that came
after it. Denise.

Yes you are probably right. With the new updates being so small , im not
really that concerned about the space they take up now as its
negligible. Its probably one of the smallest update downloads for any av
now i would have thought.
