Dropper. Inflater.a - AVG antispyware's discription - This malicious
software combines a harmless program with harmfull software such as a
backdoor. The bundled harmfull part, e.g. the backdoor will be installed and
run without the user's knowledge. Found in - c:\ program files\common
files\real\Gtoolbar\Google . Any helpfull info on this. As far as i knew, i
had no Google toolbar installed.

Hi Bill, opened program files, then common files, then real files, and there
were 4 different google files, right clicked to scan each file with AVG and
one file i got a malicious file warning. I quarintined the file, can and
should this file be sent to Virustotal.

Sure--go to www.virustotal.com, and in the upper right, there's a "browse"
button to find the file and submit it.

Is Google anything listed in add or remove programs?

I would love to know if the Google toolbar and the malicious software both
were installed by Google . Bill nothing in add /remove

The reason I asked about add/remove was to be sure that what we are seeing
isn't a false positive on something legitimate.

The impression I have so far, and I haven't tried to look up details of this
bug--is that this may be real, rather than a false positive.

Robin, found a thread in Wilderssecurity with the same in a WinZip file and
Ewido answered back that it's a false positive. Sent my file to (Ewido) AVG
to check further. Thank You for that direction to go.

Excellent--I hadn't even made the connection Ewido=AVG, and didn't think of
that.
