I am now using AVG, and also use Mozilla with Mozilla's Mail Reader.
AVG appears to support Outlook/Outlook Express .... so is there another
virus utility OR can/does AVG work with Mozilla ??

many thanks, DW

Installed Avast - but there's a bit of fiddling to be done.
First you should get a password from www.avast.com or it runs
out in 3 months THEN it changes mail settings to 127.0.0.1 and
all that. If you still have OE it changes them for you so you
can cut and paste into Thunderbird.
Then it works a treat (better than AVG and I'm a long time
user if that) - try here http://www.gfi.com/emailsecuritytest/

dw,

VirusCatcher - free email webmail download messenger antivirus scanner
www.vcatch.com

I saved the above link to check out some time ago but never did. Just
ran across it while researching a reply to Susan Burgher. Don't know
anything about it beyond the below. There's a Pro version, so
presumably there are missing features.

Don't use Vcatch. It's considered spyware. And based on some posts it not
good at detecting viruses anyway.

And Cexx.org etc...
