AVG and 65.24.7.60

I'm running AVG 7 on Win98SE. I now get an AVG box in the lower RH
corner labeled 'AVG E-mail Scanner' that says 'Connecting to
65.24.7.60.' I've seen this even when I have Mozilla closed. What is
this doing and is this OK to happen?

Didn't someone earlier on mention that the IP belonged to your ISP and
it was connecting to it??
