The new AVG 7 is very much like the professional version 7 that I paidI don't use AVG Free Edition anymore, but from the instruction manuals
I read at grisoft.com it appears version 7 has more functionality. Just
wondering if it slows down computers a bit more now. Are there more AVG
items listed in MSCONFIG now?
OH CRUMBS HELP SOMEBODY!!! - writing from a laptop here......
The best general suggestion seems to be to press F8 when
you restart your computer to get to the long list of startup options.

In particular, does AVG still have a small footprint?
Background: I'm a long-time McAfee user, but it gets more and more bloated.
Since I'll be out of updates, I'm considering switching to AVG.
One more question: can AVG back out an update if the update causes trouble?
(Inability of McAfee to do this is another reason I'd switch. Occasionally,
a McAfee update caused me trouble.)
