Hi,

Just downloaded the AVG 7.0 Free update and it won't certify my outgoing
messages on Outlook Express 6.0. The incoming messages are certified no
problem. I have checked the e-mail scanner properties and they are fine.

Thanks

O.

Do you mean it won't put that advertisement at the end of emails you
send? Well, that's a good thing.

Stop and consider... how could it 'certify' anything? You could have
old definitions ... the latest definitions could not contain the
latest virus, just released today ...

People frequently post with OE in these newsgroups with a month-old
sig file date in their 'certification.'

Almost all of the recent mass-mailing viruses do not use your email
client anyhow. They have their own SMTP engines and send silently
while you aren't looking.

Be kind to your recipients; don't bother using that advertisement.
The incoming messages are certified no problem. I have checked the

Actually, the same applies to incoming. If you get an attachment from
someone you don't know, your a-v will only catch it if it knows about
it. Do not rely on this. <g>

Why are you bothering? Only a complete dimwit would believe anything
that said 'I've been virus scanned, honest' arriving at their PC. Save a
few electrons and just bypass outgoing scan.
