avg 6 install problem

I've installed avg6 onto winxp pro, it shows the database date as 13.02.04
but highlighted and the warning popup tells me that it is out of date. If I
click on it to download though it tells me I am up to date. I have
uninstalled and re-installed to no useful effect.

any ideas?

Have you checked your system date? If that is in the future that (as I know
to my cost) will give the symptoms you're experiencing
