average figure

I have cells C6 to AF6 with a number in each. I then add all cells and
divide by 30 to get average.
As the figure is a daily one for part of the 30 days some cells are blank so
this gives a false average.
How can I adjust the formula to account for this?
Currently using......

SUM(C6:AF6)/30

Try: =AVERAGE(C6:AF6)
which ignores text and blanks
