I love it. It much easier to use and handle than the other huge one
(like McAfee, Norton etc etc). Install it for every friend that need
Anti-virus (and have given up on the other ones that mess up

Same here. I installed it for my father, a couple of neighbors, and my
other two PC's. I've been using it on and off for a little over 2 years
now, and it's certainly matured as an AV solution. Not only ready for
primetime, but more ready than some other more "mainstream" ones.

I also very much like that I can set it up tp alert me when they have
problems, they always call me anyway, but now I get the message ASAP.
If I should say some bad things about avast it's the yearly
registration. Most of my friends can't handle that, and they have to
call me once a year to fix that for them :-( The other one is the
program update, but that is actually ZoneAlarms fault (after a program
update ZA asks for access confirmation, and that confuses them alot).
So for most of them I have turned program updates off (do it manually)

Have they fixed the loop-back issue with Sygate firewall? That is one
of the reasons I don't use Avast anymore.

Wouldn't know. Only use ZA. Can you explain more what happends?
Here is a good example. I have set a permission in Sygate to allow
SpywareBlaster to update. If I uncheck the permission so that Sygate
will display a dialog box asking if SB is allowed to access, because of
Avast Network Shield,SB is allowed access anyway and no dialog box is
displayed-Sygate thinks it is Avast that is connecting, not
SpywareBlaster.
