Avast

Since loading Avast (yesterday) I find that when I switch on my PC it want
to check my disc for errors.

Any ideas?

This isn't Avast checking the drive, but Windows itself

Avast has a boot up scan as well, but isn't checking for errors. Not sure
where in Avast free version it is but you should be able to disable the
boot-up scan function, this will stop it scanning every time it boots.

It's a case of clicking on the Avast icon on the Desktop.
Not very difficult.

It seems to have resolved itself. Perhaps Avast upset something in the file
structure.
Situation is now perfect.
