I'm using Avast AV 4.5 free edition on a Windows XP SP2 desktop
computer. Out of curiosity, I ran the eicar.com test to see if Avast was
working okay. As soon as I saved the file to my desktop, I heard an alarm,
followed by a woman saying..."Warning! There is a virus on your computer."
Two Avast windows also popped up giving me more information. Certainly very
dramatic. Just wondering what type of show other AV programs give when they
detect a virus?
