Am having a problem finding a setting for Avast. Does anyone know how to set
Avast so that it automatically deletes infected email attachments. By
default, Avast requires interaction to delete the attachment and then
further interaction to confirm this. All I can find is the setting to not
ask for any action on the users behalf BUT it then leaves the attachment
intact (with a BEWARE message). Somehow there must be away to tell it to
delete infected attachments automatically without interaction. Any
suggestions? PS I'm using Incredimail if that makes a difference.

On-Access Scanner -> Internet Mail -> Customize -> Advanced

Now select "Silent mode" and check "with general answer No"

Now attachments will be removed without any confirmation
(well, one problem, they are still moved to the "chest")

PS! If you like to see what is happening when e-mail is
scanned check "Show detailed info on perormed action"
(then all scanned messages will be shown briefly just
above the taskbar and infected will be red on yellow)

Does this work on the free version of Avast! or just the paid version?

Free version too. The desription for the selecton box is just a bit
wrong (shold have been "Don't ask, Move to chest".

In the full version I think you can choose "Delete" as well.

I always use it, and the "Show details" box too, so when I check my
mail, all messages are disaplyed at the bottom as they are scanned,
revealing viruses allready then (plus that the subject is changed and
info added about what attachment is removed and what virus it was)

Sorry, WHAT blue icon? I'm using the standard skin. The button
on the upper left I mentioned is of course the menu button.
