Hi
Avast pro have a firewall?
Thanks
nuno
Avast basic and Avast Pro have a Network Shield, which they say can
qualify as a light-weight firewall. However, I've never used it, don't
know how configurable it is, and wouldn't know how it stacks up against
some of the more popular firewalls. Right now, I'm comfortable with
using a dedicated FW app separate from AV.

Regards,

Will

I gave up and used Windows firewall which only blocks incoming threats. I
just didn't know if the outgoing programs were good or bad. So I uninstalled
Comodo.

Personally, I like Kerio Personal Firewall. You should give that a try
or use Zone Alarm. You still need to know what programs are good and
what programs are bad, however, so when you receive an alert, check it
out online. Of course, this isn't 100% effective, but I have found
malware in the past through this method that scanners have missed.

You need to invest in a router with a built-in firewall(even if you have
only one computer).
