AVAST download File checking?

Does anyone know how to set up AVAST to manually check downloads as AVG does
when implemented with the Getright download manager??

The path should be to ashquick.exe.It would usually look something like this
in your download manager virus checker path ...

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe

I pasted the Ashquick path into my DLer where I had been using EZTrust's
path so I see no reason why Avast's scan should not be working, but
I have no proof of that fact. My Ashquick.exe path is in the same
location as yours.

EZTrust pops up a screen with info about the downloaded file. How
can I tell if Avast performed a scan when there is no window popup?

Click "start avast antivirus" from the tray icon.Click menu >settings>common
and tick "show results of explorer extension"

Perfect, thank you.

I was able to locate info in help by searching on explorer. The Pro
version may even have additional explanation through my unavailable
'enhanced' page.
