Avast and aswMon2.sys update

Hello,

I have been using Avast Free Anti Virus scanner
successfully for a long time. After the last update I
now get a blue screen of death

Uninstalling Avast makes thing work fine again.

Any ideas what to do? How do I go back to an older version of the
aswMon2? And should I?

I am using version 4.7.817 without any problems. Since the last (recent)
update, a big plus, Avast no longer stops the auto creation of System
Restore points. I am now getting a SR point just about every 10 hrs. Which
ver are you using?

Never had a problem, mine is 4.7.827. Can't remember having a problem
with system restore points.
