Avast 4.5 loads lopdotcom?

When I ran Spy Sweeper it picked up Lopdotcom adware in my Avast directory.

I deleted the file (and hopefully registry key) and when I rebooted Avast
wouldn't start. I checked MSConfig and Avast's files were unchecked in the
Service list, and completely missing in the Start-Up list. I reloaded the
program and everything is running, except the lopdotcom file is still found
by Spy Sweeper.

Here's a couple of forums that discuss the same matter:

Anybody have the same find? Any solutions? Could it be a false positive
on Spy Sweeper's part?

Ive tried the spy audit scan at webroots site , and it said among other
dubious claims ,i had coolwebsearch and pointed to keys that wasnt
there.I know some people like spysweeper but personally i wouldnt use it
if it was given away.

Except that I found the file in the Avast directory.

What was the name of the file you found and did you check with other well
known detectors such as adaware or spybot or upload the file to kaspersky
online scan for a second opinion?.

I have the Enterprise Version on my Company Laptop. It does FP and,
unfortunately for me, I have no way of overriding whatever it thinks
it's quarantining.
