I notice many people are having problems with the various builds of Vista
and anti-virus software. Is there a reason MS can't incorporate the feature
in the OS, just as they did with the firewall?

When I bought a new Tahoe, it came with air bags and shoulder harnesses
(sp) - no second party gear needed - it is kind of the same thing - except
for the 4WD issue :o)

The reason is because every time that MS adds something to the OS they get
sued. Doesn't seem to matter how much sense it makes or how much people want
it. Norton and others would throw a hissy fit if MS threw in AV software.

I suspect you are right

In addition MS wants to try and profit off of AV .. Windows One Care for
example...There will be a Vista release before Dec I believe...At least ready
in time for launch.
