Is there an AV program than can be run from a CD, when the pattern files can
be updated and a new current CD burned. I have the NAV installation disk
where a virus check can be done without installation of the program.
However, the virus definitions are only as current as the date of production
of the disk.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,

You could try F-Prot <http://www.complex.is/>. This will infact run from
(3 now?) floppies and the windoze version comes with fpcmd.exe
(commandline scanner for Win32).

Although the page refers to the DOS version, I don't see as to why much
should be different for the cmdline Win32 version, but
<http://www.claymania.com/f-prot.html> has some great info in creating a 3
floppy solution.. should be easy enough to port to CD rather than floppy.

HTH =)

Ian
