Hi guys,

I will be soon dual-booting my machine in WinXP & Linux-Debian. Is there
an antivirus product which allows protection in both OS' with one license?

After all it is *one* machine.

Regards,

Mick

You can download every version of NOD32 under one license. So you can use
both the windows version and the linux version on one machine.

Mick,

Depending how you have your HDDs arranged, any *nix AV should work.

For example, I have my win2k HDD mounted in this FreeBSD box. It's not
dual boot, my "D:\" partition (the one with all the useful stuff on it) is
mounted as /windoze. My FreeBSD version of F-Prot scans this entire
partition with no hassles at all and detects everything on there that it
should (so I know it works? =) ). Great thing.. for home / personal use,
F-Prot for FreeBSD and / or Linux is free.. can't get a much better
license than that =) Unfortunately, not open-source.. but we can't have
it all =)

Ian

Thank Dos & Ian.H for your replies. I think Ian's scheme looks promising
because Nod32 only do Linux for mailservers and unfortunately their email
reply was:

"NOD32 Technical support \(Mark\)" <[email protected]>
[snip]
Windows and Linux versions require different license to purchase.

Thanks Draco, Ian has also reccomended it. I'll give it a go after I set
