AutoUpdate Presentation with Modified Word and AutoUpdated Excel

I am interested in building a Presentation that will display throughout the
plant, showing current manufacturing/shipping statuses maintained in Excel
Spreadsheets.

Need to auto update the Presentation with the Excel Spreadsheets that are
being auto-updated every 1/2 hour. Also have some Word documents that want
to auto-update when they have been changed.

Want to maintain the presentation with minimal human intervention.
Any help is appreciated.
