Autostart CD

The autostart on the properties of the CD drive are missing. I have general,
hardware, sharing and recording. How can I resurrect the autostart? I can
start manually but, when i insert a disk it will not read the content,
Any advise?

Some Microsoft people have produced an 'Autofix' program to handle
problems with the Autoplay - among other places it is on Mike Kolditz's
site
