Not that I'm aware. The only way I know right now is once you put it into
your HD folder, you have to either use the file open route, or double click
on the file.

This would be on a hard drive. I want to be able to drop a pps file in a
folder and have it run automatically.
Create a shortcut to PowerPoint and change it's icon to look like a folder.
(Right click > properties > change icon) You can find a folder icon in
Windows > System32>shell32.dll.
The pps file won't end up in the "folder" though but it should run.
