autorun/autoplay

i have xp sp2. until recently whenever i inserted any type of disc into my
disc drive the appropriate program opened and ran, in the case of cd-roms
they automatically ran, now for some reason the autoplay/run feature is not
working. everything is recognised in my computer and i can run everything
from there. i knoe there is a regedit to turn this feature on, could someone
please advise me of the exact procedure?
