Hi all,

Is there such a thing as a freeware alternative to Autoroute
for the UK (and maybe Europe)?

Regards

B.

OK, perhaps off topic but thought I would add a comment.

I still use the original NextBase (pay) version of autoroute (before it
sold out to M$oft). It has full uk and europe maps, comes on just one
floppy and is really quick and easy to use.

A friend recently installed the latest version and, guess what, it now
needs nearly a gig of space on your hard disk + putting the cd in when
you want to use it. Not to mention writing a huge number of new keys to
your reg.

And, in spite of the bloat, it doesn't really add anything useful over
the NextBase version!

I'd love to see a freeware version of this available that is similar to
the original.

Hmm,

Many thanks for that, I'll take a look.
