Hi all,

I am looking for an autoresponder. Not the kind that automatically shoots
back a message to someone who emails you - but rather I am looking for
something that will send out a periodic email on a schedule. I tried to
figure out if Outlook Express would do this and apparently not.

Are there any freeware programs that will handle this task?

Thanks you guys.

As you search Google, don't use the word "responder" (auto or
otherwise), since what you're looking for is not a responder, at all.

You want something that schedules email. Look for a mail scheduler.

Calypso will do this. (Check Send Later when you compose a message. Calypso
will also lets you send Bulk Mail. Put the two together and you should get
the functionality you want.)

You can use the windows task scheduler with OE to sort of
accomplish this.

You'd just create a mailto: shortcut with the recipient,
subject and mail body defined within. (I think there's a
limit on how long the message can be.)

The task scheduler will pop the email up every week or
whatever, and all you'd need to do is click send.

Not a great solution - but perhaps better than having a
program run 24/7 to do a job once per week.
